1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, keep information on your device for the same purpose. They let the website remember, for example, that you have already chosen your cookie settings.
2. Which categories OrtoClinic uses
- Strictly necessary — the technical session, form protection and storing your cookie choice. Always on, because the website does not work properly without them.
- Preferences — remembering the light or dark theme. Enabled only with your consent.
- External content — the Google Maps map on the contact page. Loaded only with your consent.
OrtoClinic uses no analytics, statistics, advertising or remarketing cookies or technologies (for example Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel).

When you make a choice, the website records an anonymous log entry: a random identifier, the policy version, the categories chosen and the date/time. It contains no IP address or browser data and serves as minimal proof of the choice.
4. Strictly necessary and optional
Strictly necessary technologies cannot be switched off on the website, because they keep the forms secure and working. Preferences and external content are optional and stay off until you allow them.
5. How to give, refuse or withdraw consent
On your first visit you see a banner with three equal options: “Accept all”, “Reject optional” and “Cookie settings”. Scrolling or continuing to browse is not treated as consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page; after withdrawal, the technologies concerned no longer run on later visits. Your choice is valid for up to 180 days or until the policy changes, after which we ask again.
6. Third-party providers and international transfers
The only third-party service that can set cookies is Google Maps, loaded only after you consent to external content. Your browser then connects directly to Google, which may process your IP address and technical data, including in the United States, under its own policy. The website’s fonts and other resources are hosted on its own server. Facebook and Instagram appear only as plain links.
7. Browser settings
You can also delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary technologies, the appointment and contact forms may not work.
